PLEASE NOTE: On some maps Lee Common is also referred to as “Lee Clump”, Neither should be confused with “The Lee” which, although close by, is a separate village.

1.FROM THE M25 (travelling in a clockwise direction)
Exit M25 at junction 16 onto M40. Exit M40 at junction 2 towards Beaconsfield Old Town & take A355 towards Amersham. At Amersham go left onto A413 towards Great Missenden. At third roundabout exit A413 onto B485 (Frith Hill). Half way up the hill take sharp, steep, left turn (also called Frith Hill) to South Heath. Follow the road for about 2 miles into Ballinger Common. The Pheasant pub will be on your left. Lower Bassibones Farm is exactly half a mile past the pub, on the right.

 

2.FROM THE M25 (travelling in an anti-clockwise direction)
Exit M25 at junction 20 onto A41 towards Aylesbury. Exit A41 onto A416 to Chesham. Continue along A416 through Ashley Green into Chesham town centre. Follow the flow of traffic until you come to a roundabout just BEFORE the pond and park on your right. Take the right turn at the roundabout to Chartridge, the park will now be on your left. Continue along this road for approximately 3 miles, passing The Chartridge Conference Centre on your right. Approx ½ mile past the Conference Centre turn left to Ballinger and Lee Common. The farm entrance is approximately ¼ mile on your left, at the junction of Oxford Street. Do not confuse us with Bassibones Farm, which is the first farm on the left, LOWER Bassibones Farm is the SECOND farm on the left.

 

3.FROM THE M40 (Travelling from the Oxford direction)
Exit M40 at junction 4 onto the A404 into High Wycombe. Follow the A404 through High Wycombe and Hazelmere towards Amersham (approx 7 miles). Just after the crematorium on your left there is a roundabout at which you turn left onto the A413 towards Great Missenden & Aylesbury. At the second roundabout exit A413 right onto B485 (Frith Hill). Half way up the hill take sharp, steep, left turn (also called Frith Hill) and follow road for about 2 miles through South Heath and into Ballinger Common. The Pheasant pub will be on your left, the farm entrance is exactly half a mile past the pub on the right.

 

4.FROM LONDON (travelling West)
Take the A40 (M) towards Oxford and The West. Continue along the A40 and, just BEFORE it becomes the M40, peel off to the left and follow the A40 (this takes you under the M40). Stay on the A40 for approx 3 miles until you come to a right turn onto the A413 signed to Amersham and The Chalfonts. Follow A413, by-passing Amersham Old Town, towards Great Missenden and Aylesbury, until you come to a roundabout signed to Chesham, exit the A413 onto the B485 (Frith Hill). Half way up the hill take a sharp, steep, left turn (also called Frith Hill) for approx 2 miles though South Heath and into Ballinger Common. The Pheasant pub will be on your left, the farm entrance is exactly half a mile past the pub on the right.

 

5.FROM M4 (travelling West)
Exit M4 at junction 8/9 onto A404(M) to High Wycombe. Follow A404 through High Wycombe and Hazelmere towards Amersham. At Amersham turn left at roundabout onto A413 towards Great Missenden and Aylesbury. At second roundabout exit A413 right onto B485 (Frith Hill), half way up hill take sharp, steep, left turn and follow for approx 2 miles through South Heath and into Ballinger. The Pheasant pub will be on your left and the farm entrance is exactly half a mile past the pub on the right.

 

6.FROM M1 (travelling from the North)
Exit the M1 at junction 8 and go through Hemel Hempstead to the A41. Take A41 towards Aylesbury, exit A41 to Chesham – now followDIRECTIONS NO 2.

Alternatively:

You can carry on down the M1 and exit onto the M25 in an anti-clockwise direction. Now follow the DIRECTIONS NO 2.

PLEASE NOTE THAT MOBILE PHONE SIGNALS ARE WEAK IN THIS AREA. If you need to phone us you should ring BEFORE arriving in Lee Common.

IMPORTANT!

When using Sat Nav to locate the farm disregard the final instructions to proceed down Cherry Tree Lane. This is incorrect. The farm entrance is located 100 metres along the road at the junction of Ballinger Road and Oxford Street.

Follow the directions as for Lower Bassibones Farm. The cottage is situated 30 metres across the road from the farm entrance, on the left- hand side in Oxford Street . Sat Nav directions to the cottage ARE accurate.

On arrival it may be necessary to come to the farm to collect door keys for Inglenook Cottage, depending on individual arrangements.
