Bed and Breakfast Accommodation
We would like to welcome you to our home, a traditional Buckinghamshire brick and flint, period farmhouse situated in the beautiful Chiltern Hills in an area officially classified as being of ‘Outstanding Natural Beauty’. Lower Bassibones Farm is situated in the heart of The Chilterns in Buckinghamshire, two miles from Great Missenden, three miles from Amersham and Chesham.
High Wycombe, Aylesbury and Watford are within a 15 - 30 minute drive. The farm is surrounded by rolling countryside and farmland despite being only 45 minutes from London by train or road and is a similar distance from the city of Oxford. London Heathrow and Luton airports are less than an hour away by road. The area is served by several motorways: M25, M40, M4 and Ml.
Lee Common is within easy reach of a variety of attractive pubs, inns and restaurants which serve excellent meals. We’d be pleased to advise you and give you a list of recommended establishments.
There are many places of interest and National Trust properties in and around The Chiltems area, also some beautiful walks - not least The Ridgeway and the Icknield Way.
Bed and Breakfast accommodation is offered all the year round (except at Christmas). The accommodation comprises large, self-contained, double rooms with either a private or shared bath/shower room and is situated in the main farmhouse with its own access staircase and landing area. Each room has its own television and easy chairs, tea/coffee making facilities and the rooms both have views across the gardens and farmland. There are parking facilities, also storage areas for bicycles and a drying area for outdoor clothing etc.
A substantial Continental breakfast is included in the cost of the accommodation and consists of home made, or locally made, produce. Breakfast is taken in the garden conservatory during the summer months or in the cosy farmhouse kitchen during the Winter. A cooked full English breakfast is available on request at an extra cost of £6.00 per person. Please give 24 hours notice.
Guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 10.30am on the day of departure, unless otherwise previously agreed.
We can also offer Self Catering accommodation in our beautifully converted barn.

We are very fond of animals but regrettably we are unable to accommodate guests' pets.
A deposit will be required at the time of making the reservation. Once the deposit is received the reservation will be confirmed.
