Self-Catering Accommodation "Inglenook Cottage" Oxford Street, Lee Common, Nr Great Missenden, Bucks. HP16 9JY ![]() Location: This gorgeous period cottage is situated within The Chiltern Hills in the village of Lee Common near Great Missenden in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is just across the lane, some 30 yards, from Lower Bassibones Farm located approximately three miles from Great Missenden and Chesham, both of which are served by direct, 40 minute, train links to London by The Chiltern Line and The London Underground Metropolitan lines respectively. The M1, M4, M40 and M25 are all within a 15 – 20 minute drive, the nearby neighbouring towns are Amersham, Aylesbury and High Wycombe. The journey time to Luton airport is 30 minutes or Heathrow airport in 40 minutes. The Lee village shop is half a mile from the cottage and stocks a comprehensive range of groceries, fresh food and newspapers. The accommodation: The cottage is decorated and furnished to a high standard and comprises a lounge with inglenook fireplace, an open plan dining room and fully fitted kitchen (washing/drying machine, fridge, freezer, microwave etc), a bath/shower room with W.C, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, a conservatory and a pretty cottage garden with patio and garden furniture. There is a large garden shed for the storage of bicycles, walking equipment etc. The cottage is fitted with free direct wifi Internet access, telephone, a T.V and DVD player. Parking is available in the lane immediately outside the cottage front garden, or additional off-road parking is available at the farm. Recreational attractions: There are many character pubs and inns in the immediate vicinity and an extensive range of good restaurants in the neighbouring towns. A huge network of footpaths and cycle routes criss-cross the picturesque Chiltern countryside all of which are within a stone’s throw of the cottage. There is a choice of nearby golf courses, fitness centres and swimming pools, several local museums and many National Trust properties to explore and visit. For youngsters there is the Roald Dahl story centre in Great Missenden, Legoland at Windsor, Whipsnade Zoo, Beaconscot Model Village at Beaconsfield and many other family attractions. For walkers the cottage is conveniently placed for The Ridgeway, The Icknield Way and beautiful towpath rambles along the Grand Union Canal system. The property is rented on a self-catering basis. Inglenook Cottage is a non-smoking property and unsuitable for children under the age of three years or for pets. Tariff Per Week
To make a reservation a non-refundable deposit of £100 for each week will be required. This can be paid by card over the phone or by cheque. On receipt of the deposit the reservation will be confirmed. All Accommodation is Non-Smoking.
